I’m a 55-year-old single Dad with a Son 29 and a daughter 16. I used to have a creative Painting Business I started back in 1994 called “Hues by Design”, (Get it? ~> the play on the word “Hues” and my last name “Hughes”?). The business started taking a gradual nosedive right around the financial crash of 2008 and I was forced to make a lot of hard decisions. Just before the crash, I was gaining some major momentum by using creative technology by photographing and video documenting my creative painting projects and making DVDs out of them, (Remember DVDs?..;-). I had also just started using eBay and @ the time was completely unaware of YouTube. The business was all but finished when I figured out how to upload my DVD productions to YouTube. This was mainly because I didn’t have the insight/ knowledge or network strong enough to make the technological transition to stay afloat so I had to swallow my pride and take a regular job that I hate to make ends meet and restabalize.
